BEER RANGE PUB OF THE YEAR 2009

We are a World Beer Freehouse located in the heart of historic York. Our home is a timber framed and dating back to 1190, a fantastic setting for a cold beer, glass of wine, or a hot coffee!

We offer a collection of the finest cask beers from the UK, and draught and bottled beers from around the world.

Our draught beer selection offers 17 fresh beers comprising 3 cask ales and 14 other exceptional draught products including 2 Weisse beers, and the only unfiltered Czech pilsner currently available in the UK.

As we are a free house, all the beers are selected personally by the management either because they are uncommon, or in most cases simply because they are outstanding beers! 14 quality wines available by the glass or bottle, and 2 Champagnes by the bottle only.

The bottled product range features around 80 beers from across the globe, including Australia, Canada, The USA, and Europe is represented strongly.

We have an excellent range of hot Paninis, made freshly for us by a local deli, and a selection locally sourced pork pies.

The handmade cake selection perfectly accompanies our range of Italian coffee.
